A big Mexican Navy vessel slammed the underside of the Brooklyn Bridge Saturday night time whereas crusing via the East River, injuring 19 folks, based on New York Metropolis Mayor Eric Adams.
Adams mentioned throughout a Saturday night time press convention that 19 people have been injured, together with 4 who have been “significantly” injured. They have been moved to Bellevue Hospital. Nobody fell into the water.

The Mexican Navy wrote on the social media platform X that Cuauhtemoc, a sail coaching ship, sustained injury in an accident and that the standing of kit and personnel onboard is being reviewed by naval and native authorities.
A complete of 277 folks have been onboard. The ship was crusing to Iceland.
“The Secretary of the Navy renews its dedication to the security of personnel, transparency in its operations and glorious coaching for future officers of the Mexican Armada,” the Mexican Navy added.
The Nationwide Transportation Security Board will probably be investigating the incident.
