Iran’s international minister says no ‘remaining choice’ on ceasefire

Iran stated it paused assaults on Israel Monday, but in addition said it had not come to a “remaining choice” on a ceasefire.

“As Iran has repeatedly made clear: Israel launched battle on Iran, not the opposite means round,” Iranian Overseas Minister Abbas Araghchi said in a post on the social platform X Monday night. ”As of now, there may be NO ‘settlement’ on any ceasefire or cessation of army operations.”

“Nevertheless, supplied that the Israeli regime stops its unlawful aggression in opposition to the Iranian individuals no later than 4 am Tehran time, we have now no intention to proceed our response afterwards. The ultimate choice on the cessation of our army operations might be made later,” he added.

Shortly after, in a separate post, Araghchi stated that “army operations of our highly effective Armed Forces to punish Israel for its aggression continued till the final minute, at 4am.” 

“Along with all Iranians, I thank our courageous Armed Forces who stay able to defend our expensive nation till their final drop of blood, and who responded to any assault by the enemy till the final minute,” he added.

President Trump stated earlier Monday that Israel and Iran had “absolutely agreed” on “a Full and Whole CEASEFIRE,” on Reality Social, including that it was going to begin “in roughly 6 hours from now, when Israel and Iran have wound down and accomplished their in progress, remaining missions!”
