Tech billionaire Elon Musk again slammed President Trump’s “massive, lovely invoice” on Saturday.
“Polls present that this invoice is political suicide for the Republican Social gathering,” Musk stated in a publish on the social platform X on Saturday.
In another post on the platform, Musk known as the invoice “totally insane and harmful.”
“The price drop Senate draft invoice will destroy thousands and thousands of jobs in America and trigger immense strategic hurt to our nation!” he wrote. “Completely insane and harmful. It provides handouts to industries of the previous whereas severely damaging industries of the long run.”
Musk has railed in opposition to the “massive, lovely invoice” earlier than, calling it a “disgusting abomination” earlier this month.
“I’m sorry, however I simply can’t stand it anymore. This huge, outrageous, pork-filled Congressional spending invoice is a disgusting abomination,” Musk posted in early June on X.
“Disgrace on those that voted for it: you probably did fallacious. You realize it,” he added.
On Saturday, Senate Republicans narrowly voted to advance a 1,000-page invoice to enact President Trump’s agenda, regardless of opposition from two of their members.
Sens. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) and Thom Tillis (R-N.C.) each voted in opposition to advancing the package deal. Paul has opposed a provision to extend the debt restrict by $5 trillion, whereas Tillis has stated the invoice would price North Carolina $38.9 trillion in federal Medicaid funding.
