Paramount agrees to pay $16 million to settle Trump ’60 Minutes’ lawsuit

Paramount World, the mother or father firm of CBS Information and one of many largest media conglomerates in the USA, has agreed to settle a high-profile lawsuit introduced by President Trump over a “60 Minutes” interview with former Vice President Kamala Harris that aired final fall.

The settlement comes after months of authorized sparring and stress between the 2 sides, together with the compelled exit of the network’s president by Paramount brass and threats by Trump to revoke CBS’s broadcast license.

The settlement is price a reported $16 million and can be paid to the president’s future presidential library and never Trump himself.
