(NEXSTAR) – A visitor on Royal Caribbean’s Icon of the Seas is in secure situation after a gap appeared to open up in one of many ship’s waterslides on Thursday.
Footage of the damaged waterslide has since been making the rounds on social media, exhibiting water cascading to the ship’s deck through a hole near the top of the slide.
The injured visitor, recognized by Royal Caribbean as an grownup, didn’t fall by the outlet, based on a spokesperson for the cruise line.
“Our staff supplied medical care to an grownup visitor when acrylic glass broke off a water slide because the visitor handed by the slide. The visitor is being handled for his accidents,” the spokesperson mentioned. “The water slide is closed for the rest of the crusing pending an investigation.”

Royal Caribbean didn’t disclose the character of the visitor’s accidents.
A number of the movies shared to social media appeared to point out the second that passengers realized the slide had damaged. Some could be heard screaming for the operators to “cease the slide!” whereas different yell for anybody within the queue to show again.
