President Donald Trump might lengthen his upcoming self-imposed tariff pause deadline, the White Home stated Thursday.
That July 9 trade-deal deadline “shouldn’t be crucial,” press secretary Karoline Leavitt instructed reporters throughout a briefing.
“The president can merely present these nations with a deal in the event that they refuse to make us one by the deadline,” Leavitt stated, “and which means the president can choose a reciprocal tariff price that he believes is advantageous for the USA and for the American employee.”
