An interview with nation musician Keith Urban ended abruptly after a radio interviewer requested the four-time Grammy winner about City’s spouse, actress Nicole Kidman, filming “love scenes” in her films.
City did a Zoom interview with Australia’s Combine 102.3 radio present “Hayley & Max within the Morning” hosts Max Burford and Hayley Pearson on July 1. Audio from that interview was shared, and through a section of the present the hosts known as “Wall of Fact,” they instructed City that that they had a “very difficult” query to ask him.
Burford stated, “Once I was developing with one thing to ask you, Keith City, in the event you occur to play this sport, the very first thing I considered, together with your stunning spouse Nicole Kidman being in so many nice films, TV exhibits on a regular basis, I watched a film along with her and Zac Efron not too long ago, [2024’s] A Household Affair.”
City responded kindly, “Oh yeah, that’s a great one.” Burford then requested City, “And I assumed, ‘What does Keith City assume when he sees his stunning spouse with stunning youthful males like Zac Efron, having these stunning love scenes on TV and radio?”
At that time, the connection appears to go silent, with the host then questioning, “Oh, why has that occurred?…what’s occurred right here?” One other, unspecified voice, then says, “He’s disconnected from Zoom.”
Pearson asks, “Did he simply dangle up on us?” The unidentified voice says, “I feel his staff [allegedly] hung up on us as a result of they didn’t need us to ask that query.” Pearson then added that, “He doesn’t like the non-public stuff. I knew that will occur.”
In line with People, a supply famous that it was not City who ended the decision. “Keith didn’t dangle up, interval,” the supply reportedly instructed Folks, including, “He doesn’t host his Zoom interviews. This can be a full nothingburger.”
A rep for City declined to touch upon the incident when reached by Billboard.
City is at the moment on tour, with upcoming exhibits in Denver (July 17), Salt Lake Metropolis (July 18) and Nampa, Idaho (July 19).
