Members of the Kurdistan Employees’ Occasion (PKK) have began laying down their arms at a ceremony in northern Iraq.
It comes two months after the group stated it might finish its armed wrestle in opposition to Turkiye and shift to democratic politics.
Response has been blended: Some Kurds suppose it may pave the way in which to peace. Others argue it’s a concession with no features.
