Rapper Kevin Gates is getting served … as a result of his spouse simply filed for divorce.
Dreka Gates, who used to handle Kevin, beelined it to courtroom Wednesday and filed for divorce from Kevin after 9 years of marriage.
Within the docs, obtained by TMZ, Dreka lists the date of separation as July 10 … and he or she’s going with the boilerplate “irreconcilable variations” as the explanation for the break up.
Kevin and Dreka have two minor kids — 12-year-old Islah and 11-year-old Khaza — and Dreka is in search of joint authorized and bodily custody of the youngsters.
Dreka can be in search of spousal help … and he or she checked the field to terminate the courtroom’s potential to award spousal help to Kevin.
It is unclear if there’s a prenup.
Kevin and Dreka acquired hitched in October 2015 … so the divorce submitting comes just a few months shy of what would have been their tenth wedding ceremony anniversary.
We reached out to Kevin’s camp … and his rep says Kevin is “sadly” declining to talk on the matter presently.
