Metallica’s Lars Ulrich addressed rumors that the band is circling a Las Vegas Sphere residency — in addition to angling for the halftime present at subsequent 12 months’s Super Bowl — in an interview Wednesday with Howard Stern.
Earlier this week, rumors emerged out of Las Vegas that Metallica was eyeing a residency on the state-of-the-art Sphere venue within the fall of 2026, after their present M72 World Tour ends subsequent July.
Chatting with the Howard Stern Present on Wednesday on Sirius XM, Ulrich admitted the Sphere residency is one thing the band is contemplating, however “nothing is etched in stone” but. “I’m not going to substantiate something, as a result of there’s nothing to substantiate. However I’m not going to disclaim it, as a result of we’re all such followers of this venue,” Ulrich stated.
“All of our managers and our manufacturing folks have been there and checked out it. It’s one thing that we’re contemplating, [but] nothing is etched in stone or green-lit.
