From Software program’s Elden Ring franchise is having a giant 12 months. We realized final month that it surpassed 30 million copies shipped, and the multiplayer spin-off, Elden Ring: Nightreign, launches subsequent week. Now, writer Bandai Namco has revealed it’s engaged on a live-action movie adaptation of Elden Ring, and it’s tapped manufacturing firm A24 (Hereditary, All the pieces In every single place All At As soon as, and the in-the-works Death Stranding adaptation) and director Alex Garland (Ex Machina, Annihilation, Civil Struggle) to helm it.
Sadly, this announcement is as mysterious and full of unknowns. There’s no phrase on what elements of Elden Ring the movie will adapt, who’s writing the film, or when it’s planning to hit theaters.
Elden Ring launched in February of 2022 and rapidly grew to become a phenomenon, selling 12 million copies in less than three weeks. Sport Informer gave it a ten out of 10 in our review, and we loved its Shadow of the Erdtree expansion too.
