American Eagle is talking out towards critics of a brand new Sydney Sweeney industrial … they are saying the notion that the advert focuses on Nazi-like eugenics and pushes blonde hair and blue eyes as aspirational is “absurd.”
A rep for AE tells TMZ … the advert marketing campaign is creating super buzz and their impartial polling reveals the overwhelming majority of parents — 71% to be actual — discover the industrial interesting.

The spot facilities round Sydney buttoning up some AE denims and touting her organic make-up, the place she breathily says, “Genes are handed down from mother and father to offspring, typically figuring out traits like hair colour, persona and even eye colour … my denims are blue.”
The promo is catching flak on social media — TikTokers all around the world slandered Sydney and AE for what they are saying is an advert crammed with implicit racism.

However, the AE rep says … “That is one more instance of how social media is simply not reflective of actual life. The absurd response from some corners of the web is totally not reflective of how American Eagle’s clients really feel.”
Doja Cat even hopped on TikTok and mocked Sydney with an exaggerated backwoods nation accent, with further drawling emphasis to make the “Euphoria” actress sound silly.

The AE rep says … “The underside line is that this was about creating an amazing pair of denims and supporting a really worthy trigger by a number of the proceeds going to home violence prevention. Something past that’s noise that’s not registering with the typical individual.”
They add … “No matter how individuals really feel in regards to the advert, we hope they will agree we needs to be doing extra to assist and empower those that are experiencing home violence.”
