On Might 19, 2025, Landsat 9 captured this picture of the Serra de Caldas within the state of Goiás, Brazil. The oval plateau is roofed by a biologically wealthy savanna and grassland ecosystem referred to as Cerrado. The Cerrado covers about one-fifth of Brazil’s land space and represents the second-largest biome in South America behind the Amazon. These lands are house to 1000’s of plant, chook, reptile, and mammal species, a lot of that are discovered nowhere else on the planet.
