Charli xcx has unveiled a set of pictures from her wedding with George Daniel of The 1975.
On Saturday (July 26), the Brat star publicly shared footage from the July 19 ceremony, an intimate occasion attended by shut family and friends at Hackney City Corridor in London.
“did one thing,” Charli captioned the glimpse into the day she married George, including the millennial-preferred model of a coronary heart emoji to her post on Instagram: <3.
Emoticon choice apart, the images seize the 2 artists’ in-love vibes amid their celebration of claiming “I do” on July 19.
The primary photograph on the slideshow captures Charli’s bridal look — made up of a Vivienne Westwood costume, a white bouquet and a pair of her signature sun shades. Picture two has her husband winking on the digital camera with a cigarette at his lips.
As one may count on, different pics doc moments of romance, together with the newlyweds kissing. See Charli’s full set of wedding ceremony pictures here.
The pair announced their engagement in July 2023 when Charli confirmed off her ring on social media and marked the milestone with the remark “charli xcx and george daniel f–king for all times!!!”
Each artists lately performed Glastonbury, with Daniel — drummer, producer and songwriter with The 1975, and a DJ — headlining the U.Okay. music competition with the band he’s been with since his teen years. The 1975 had first billing on the fest’s principal Pyramid Stage on June 27; Charli closed down the Different Stage the next evening.
Although he wasn’t seen in footage from the couple’s London wedding ceremony ceremony, 1975 frontman Matty Healy hyped Charli’s set throughout The 1975’s career-spanning gig at Glasto that left him overcome with emotion. Mid-set, he gave his bandmate’s then-fiancée a candy shoutout in between songs: “Give it up for Charli xcx. That’s my greatest good friend.”
