Victoria, BC indie rock mainstays Present Swell are again with 10 Toes Tall, the second of two companion EPs recorded with JUNO-nominated producer Gus van Go. Out now, the five-track undertaking captures the band at their most playful, current, and assured, delivering a group of songs wealthy in gratitude, groove, and singalong-ready power.
Recorded at Boiler Room Studios in Toronto, 10 Toes Tall sees the band stretching creatively whereas doubling down on their folk-rock foundations. The title monitor and “Excessive As a Kite” radiate with carefree pleasure, whereas others lean into introspective storytelling and luxurious textures.
