Jap Province Police Commissioner Robertson Mweemba stated the victims — 68-year-old Easton Janet Taylor from the U.Ok. and 67-year-old Alison Jean Taylor from New Zealand — have been attacked by a feminine elephant that was with a calf.
Safari guides who have been with the group tried to cease the elephant from charging on the ladies by firing pictures at it, police stated. The elephant was hit and wounded by the gunshots.
