Nintendo has delayed its live-action The Legend of Zelda movie. Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto–who created Zelda–said in an announcement that the delay comes all the way down to “manufacturing causes.” The movie is slipping from March 26, 2027 to Could 7, 2027.
“For manufacturing causes, we’re altering the discharge date of the live-action movie of The Legend of Zelda to Could 7, 2027. Will probably be some weeks later than the discharge timing we initially introduced, and we are going to take the additional time to make the movie nearly as good as it may be. Thanks on your endurance,” Miyamoto said.
No particular purpose for the delay past “manufacturing causes” was disclosed. Hollywood films get delayed on a regular basis, so this isn’t all that stunning, and the shift will not be all that lengthy as delays go.
The film is a co-production between Nintendo and Sony Photos, with Miyamoto producing. Marvel veteran Avi Arad is one other producer on the film.
