James Van Der Beek is getting candid about working amid his most cancers journey.
The Dawson’s Creek star shared how engaged on Legally Blonde prequel collection Elle has helped him to seek out peace as he battles stage 3 colorectal most cancers.
“The best factor about work is most cancers would not exist between motion and lower,” James informed Today in an interview printed July 30. “It was enjoyable to drop in and simply have a blast as a result of it is such an important solid, an important manufacturing, and everyone out there may be actually proficient.”
That’s why being on-set would not really feel like work for the 48-year-old. As a substitute, James considers residing with most cancers, which he was recognized with in 2023 and publicly introduced in 2024, his “full time job,” as he is needed to work to “take issues somewhat bit extra slowly and prioritizing relaxation and actually permitting that to be the job.”
And this mindset shift is one which the Varsity Blues alum—who shares children Olivia, 14, Joshua, 13, Annabel, 11, Emilia, 9, Gwendolyn, 7, and Jeremiah, 3 with spouse Kimberly—believes he should carry with him for the remainder of his life.
“I am simply on the journey,” he shared. “It is a course of. It will in all probability be a course of for the remainder of my life.”
