Epstein confederate Ghislaine Maxwell moved to Texas jail

Ghislaine Maxwell, the intercourse offender confederate of Jeffrey Epstein, has been moved from a low-security federal jail in Florida to a much less restrictive federal lockup in Texas, her lawyer confirmed to NBC Information on Friday.

Maxwell’s switch to a U.S. Bureau of Prisons minimal safety camp in Bryan, Texas, got here after two days of meetings she and her lawyer had final week in Tallahassee, Florida, with a prime Justice Division official.

Mawell’s lawyer didn’t clarify why the 63-year-old was transferred from the federal minimum security prison in Tallahassee.

Maxwell was convicted at trial in 2021 of crimes associated to grooming underage women to be sexually abused by Epstein. She is serving a 20-year jail sentence.

Deputy Lawyer Normal Todd Blanche met with Maxwell for hours final week after saying he was concerned with studying whether or not she had details about different potential abuses of women and girls in Epstein’s orbit.

Blanche requested Maxwell “perhaps about 100 totally different individuals,” her lawyer David Oscar Markus stated final week.

Blanche’s assembly raised questions on whether or not the Trump administration will search a discount of Maxwell’s sentence or whether or not President Donald Trump will pardon her.

The Justice Division and Trump have been criticized for almost a month for failing to launch proof amassed in an investigation into Epstein regardless of prior guarantees to make that info public.
