Justin Bieber takes over each Billboard’s Top Streaming Albums and Streaming Songs charts (dated July 26) due to his shock album SWAG.
The set debuts at No. 1 on Prime Streaming Albums whereas the SWAG monitor “Daisies” bows at No. 1 on Prime Streaming Songs.
On Prime Streaming Albums, SWAG — which was launched July 11 after little warning — begins with 155,000 streaming-equivalent album models earned in the US within the week ending July 17, in keeping with Luminate. That 155,000 unit sum equals 198.77 million on-demand official streams of SWAG’s tracks in its first week – marking Bieber’s single-largest streaming week ever for an album.
Bieber’s earlier largest streaming week for an album was the opening body of Justice, which logged 119,000 streaming-equivalent album models in its opening body (week ending March 25, 2021), equaling 157.02 million on-demand official streams of its songs.
Additional, on the 50-position Streaming Songs chart, “Daisies” delivers Bieber his seventh No. 1. He ties Kendrick Lamar for the third-most leaders on the listing. Solely Taylor Swift, with 9, and Drake, with 21, have extra No. 1s on Streaming Songs.
A complete of 11 SWAG tracks dot the Streaming Songs chart — all debuts. Right here’s a recap: “Daisies” (No. 1), “Yukon” (No. 7), “Go Child” (No. 8), “All I Can Take” (No. 10), “Means It Is” (with Gunna, No. 17), “Issues You Do” (No. 20), “Strolling Away” (No. 22), “Butterflies” (No. 27), “Devotion” (with Dijon, No. 40), “Candy Spot” (with Sexyy Crimson, No. 41) and “First Place” (No. 46).
The 50-position Prime Streaming Albums chart ranks the most-streamed albums of the week within the U.S., as compiled by Luminate. Titles are ranked by streaming-equivalent album (SEA) models, the place every SEA unit equals 3,750 ad-supported or 1,250 paid/subscription on-demand official audio and video streams generated by songs from an album. If an artist has a number of albums containing the identical tune, SEA models for that tune are usually assigned to whichever album sells essentially the most by conventional album gross sales in a given week.
