Nvidia AMD 15% of China chip gross sales revenues to U.S. FT reviews

Nvidia and Advanced Micro Devices have agreed to provide the U.S. authorities a share of revenues from sure chips bought in China, the Financial Times reported, in an unprecedented association with the White Home.

In change for 15% of revenues from the chip gross sales, the 2 chipmakers will obtain export licenses to promote Nvidia’s H20 and AMD’s MI308 chips in China, in keeping with the FT.

The association comes as President Donald Trump’s tariffs proceed to reverberate by the worldwide economic system, underscoring the White Home’s willingness to carve out exceptions as a bargaining software.

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang met with Trump final week, in keeping with the FT.

In an announcement, Nvidia advised the Monetary Instances: “We observe guidelines the U.S. authorities units for our participation in worldwide markets.”

Final week, Trump had mentioned he would implement a 100% tariff on imports of semiconductors and chips, except an organization was “constructing in america.”
