Santos shares surge over 15% after $18.7 bil takeover bid

Shares of Santos surged as a lot as 15.23% Monday, after it acquired a non-binding takeover provide of $18.72 billion by an Abu Dhabi’s Nationwide Oil Firm-led group.

The transfer marks the most important intraday bounce within the Australian oil and gasoline producer’s shares since April 2020, LSEG knowledge reveals.
