Let’s have a look again on the setlists from Matt Cameron‘s first and closing reveals with Pearl Jam, since he introduced his departure from the group yesterday (July 7).

The drummer revealed in a statement on social media that he’s stepped away from the band after 27 years. Whereas he did not share the explanation for the choice, he indicated that there might be “extra to comply with” from him. Thus, it is unclear whether or not he’ll pursue a unique musical venture, retire or dedicate his time to one thing else.

Cameron first joined Pearl Jam in 1998 as a fill-in for Jack Irons, who abruptly left the group simply as they have been getting ready to go on tour. Soundgarden had damaged up the 12 months prior, so Cameron was thrilled in regards to the alternative.
