Camp Mystic is reeling after a heartbreaking tragedy.

The Texas summer season camp confirmed the lack of 27 of its campers and counselors in the flash floods that hit the world on July 4.

“Camp Mystic is grieving the lack of 27 campers and counselors following the catastrophic flooding on the Guadalupe River,” the camp, which was internet hosting 750 campers on the time of the flood, wrote on its website July 7. “Our hearts are damaged alongside our households which are enduring this unimaginable tragedy. We’re praying for them continually.”

The assertion confirmed the camp’s ongoing communication with native and state stage responders as they deploy “in depth sources” to seek for the women who stay lacking.

“We’re deeply grateful for the outpouring of assist from group, first responders, and officers at each stage,” the assertion concluded. “We ask to your continued prayers, respect and privateness for every of our households affected. Might the Lord proceed to wrap His presence round all of us.”
