President Donald Trump on Saturday night time signed an order to deploy 2,000 members of the Nationwide Guard in response to protests over federal immigration protests in Los Angeles, the White Home stated.

“In current days, violent mobs have attacked ICE Officers and Federal Legislation Enforcement Brokers finishing up primary deportation operations in Los Angeles, California,” White Home press secretary Karoline Leavitt stated in an announcement.

Trump’s order comes amid continued clashes between federal immigration brokers and protesters.

Leavitt informed NBC Information that Trump is federalizing a part of California’s Nationwide Guard that may in any other case report back to Gov. Gavin Newsom. Presidents have authority to take action below restricted circumstances.

In the meantime, Trump spent his Saturday night time attending an Final Preventing Championship match on the Prudential Middle in Newark, N.J.

Vice President JD Vance referred to as the protestors “insurrectionists” in a tweet.

“Insurrectionists carrying international flags are attacking immigration enforcement officers, whereas one half of America’s political management has determined that border enforcement is evil,” Vance wrote on X.
