President Donald Trump mentioned that he is not going to lengthen Friday’s deadline for his “reciprocal” tariffs on dozens of nations to restart.
“THE AUGUST FIRST DEADLINE IS THE AUGUST FIRST DEADLINE — IT STANDS STRONG, AND WILL NOT BE EXTENDED. A BIG DAY FOR AMERICA!!!” Trump wrote on Truth Social on Wednesday morning.
Trump has beforehand claimed that he wouldn’t lengthen a deadline on these tariffs, earlier than occurring to just do that.
In early April, Trump introduced that the U.S. would impose a ten% blanket tariff charge practically worldwide, together with increased individualized duties of as much as 50% for dozens of nations.
